Dr. Kerry Clark
Dr. Kerry Clark brings over 30 years of dedicated service in public education to his role as Executive Director of Operations for Highland Prep Academies. He served more than 20 years as a high school principal in local Arizona schools and founded Madison Highland Prep in 2014 in partnership with the Madison Elementary School District. Under his leadership, Highland Prep Academies expanded with Highland Prep, Surprise (opened 2017) and Highland Prep West (opened 2022).
Dr. Clark's schools have earned "A" letter grades from the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) and have been recognized as America's Best High Schools by U.S. News & World Report.
Dr. Clark is deeply committed to students, teachers, and staff, fostering a thriving learning community that delivers a world-class STEM college-preparatory experience. His vision ensures maximum student success and provides challenging, rewarding careers for the Highland Prep Academies education team.

Scott Kies
Scott has more than 27 years of experience serving charter schools, district schools, and nonprofit organizations. He graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Scott serves as the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Highland Prep Academies, where he provides strategic leadership and oversees the organization's financial, operational, and governance initiatives. Throughout his career, he has advised organizations of all sizes, helping them strengthen financial operations and achieve long-term sustainability.
Scott previously spent several years as the Managing Partner of a regional public accounting firm specializing in educational institutions before co-founding a consulting firm that provided strategic, financial, and operational advisory services to charter schools and nonprofit organizations.
Scott is a frequent speaker at national, state, and local conferences, as well as continuing professional education programs. His presentations cover a wide range of topics, including public school finance, nonprofit governance, financial reporting, fraud prevention, internal controls, strategic planning, and budget development. His practical, real-world approach has made him a respected expert within the education and nonprofit communities.
